Who we are

Vertx Project Controls is a specialist infrastructure planning and disputes consultancy working with Tier 1 contractors, subcontractors, employers and legal teams across the UK. We do a small number of things to a very high standard: planning and project controls, forensic delay analysis, claims, and expert witness and dispute support.

Why boutique

Being small is a choice, and it changes everything about how we work. There’s no leverage model — no junior team learning on your project while a partner signs the cover page. Commissions are led personally by our founding director, supported by an established delivery team for programme production and analysis. You get senior judgement on every deliverable, direct answers to direct questions, and a consultancy that knows your project as well as you do.

Our director

Vertx was founded by Sumit Bhattacharya, MAPM, a planning and project controls specialist with more than 25 years on major UK infrastructure — highways, rail and HS2, bridges, and nuclear. He is currently completing an MSc in Construction Law & Dispute Resolution at King’s College London, bridging the gap between the programme contract and construction law — the space where most delay disputes are won or lost.
